Hello,
I am new to this site and I am in a Master's program for my MFT. Recently the program lost it's accreditation although they think it will work out. I am concerned about whether the school I choose will effect my job prospects. It is a private school and a good one for training as a counselor.
I am in CA and will be moving out of state when complete. I am considering applying to CSUN in Northridge for the MSW or MFT program. Can anyone tell me any specifics about their experience of moving out of state, looking for work and transitioning with thr MFT license? Also, Will they look at the school I went to or whether I am licensed as an MFT? I am confused about whether to jump into a MSW program or MFT program from a better known and respected school. I do plan to leave CA and wonder if anyone has studied here for MFT or MSW and has gone to another state who also went to a private school for training.
thanks so much,
Maryann
