What is the best school money can buy and
what is the best school for the money IE... best california state school
What programs produce the most effectifve thereapists.

I looked at JFK and liked it alot but money is an issue.
Can you get a good MFT education from the state schools... which have the highest passing rate for licensure?

I can't tell you what to do about the cost issue, but JFK has one of the best first-try licensure exam pass rates of any of the area schools. Our grads are also well-recieved at post-MA internships because they're known to have a good balance of academic and clinical training.

Yeah, but with JFK you will have insane loans to pay off. I know. I went there. Now I have crazy amounts of debt that will eat up loads of my monthly salary for years and years. We are talking in the 80 thou range.

I really wish I had gone to Hayward State. My debt would have been one fourth what it is now. I have several friends who went there and they all loved it. And one of them just passed the MFT exam.

I highly recommend Hayward ( Now called College of the East Bay).

i am really liking my program at SFSU and am *really* glad to not be paying for the private school tuition, even though i am sure i would love one of the somatic programs (JFK or CIIS). you can get the education in alternatives for much cheaper than the school program that has it. SFSU is a very good traditional base to build upon. I would be happy to answer any other questions about it. Good luck!
